Goodwood (UK)

Graham Stoker

Dear Club

With over 200 delegates from over 70 countries attending, the first ever FIA Sports Conference Week back in June provided a welcome new forum for discussion, networking and the exchange of best sporting practice amongst our ASNs.

At the heart of the week’s discussions was the question of how to ensure motor sport can be safe and sustainable in the 21st Century without losing any of its excitement and appeal. The presentation of the new Development Manual by our ASN Development Taskforce, the setting up of the new Motor Sport Development Task Force and the launch of the new Action for Environment campaign, were three important steps taken by the FIA and its Sports Clubs during the week to meet this challenge.

I hope that you enjoy this review of a rewarding week at historic Goodwood, packed with interesting ideas and good memories, and that we will see you all at next year’s edition of our FIA Sports Conference Week.

Yours sincerely,

Graham Stoker
Deputy President for Sport
